The first thing you'll need to do, then, is to make sure you are on the highest current OFW (currently 6.60). When you 'hack' a PSP, you're replacing or modifying the original Sony firmware (ofw) with a custom firmware variant (cfw) that allows you to do things like play homebrews and ISO game backups from your memory card. IMPORTANT FACTS: The firmware of your PSP is kind of like the operating system. Remove any UMD from the drive (thanks, 10_billion_calories!) (Note: if you have a 3000/GO/E1000 model PSP, you will be able to run this CFW, however you will not be able to "permanently patch" your PSP, and you will have to relaunch the CFW on every reboot - more on that later.) Basically you should know whether you have a PSP Go (they have a slidey screen) or, well, a non-PSP Go. This part of the guide used to be a lot larger. The understanding that this MAY fuck up your PSP. More space = more ISOs, music, homebrew, vids, etc. Once more unto the breach, my friends! :)Ī memory stick preferably larger than 2gb, but anything above 512m will technically work. I am not liable for any damage that this guide may cause to your PSP, although it really shouldn't cause any. Obviously, this guide is not going to encourage illegal activity of any kind, and I do not endorse illegal downloading of any kind to use on your psp. I personally have hacked three PSPs (I have no experience with the Go, but from what I hear it's not terribly different from the PSP-3000) and I do know my way around the PSP a little bit. PLEASE contact me via either comments or a PM for feedback or any extra help you might need! I am always available! But until then, to be safe, I'd avoid updating past 6.60 if you can (currently there is nothing past 6.60 so you should be fine). If there is another update (unlikely) I'll try and fit the guide to the new firmware. As far as my knowledge goes, 6.60 is the final official update to the PSP system, so this guide should hypothetically work til, well, the end of time. This guide is updated to the PSP Firmware version 6.60. This guide will function as an update of the previous guide, and yes, I will be copypasting some chunks of text, but it'll not be that bad. It's been a couple months since then, there have been a couple PSP firmware updates, and with the Vita just launching in the West last weekend, I figure it's a good a time as any to revisit the dear ol' PSP. Surprisingly, the body is pretty stock, without so much as a cowl induction hood or a set of stripes, and I don't know that I'd call this truck subtle, but it certainly isn't over-the-top. The 1971 models got a revised front end that many enthusiasts, myself included, think is the best looking of the bunch. Once you get past the shock of seeing something this big, you realize that there's a really nice El Camino up there on those giant tires. And obviously, as a truck, it's got a Class III trailer hitch, so it really is ready, willing, and. Details like the woodgrained tailgate are new, the blue paint has an impressive shine, and the bumpers and grille are brand new. Finish quality is very, very good, putting this one on par with many of the show-quality Elkys we've featured, standing head and shoulders above all those home-built trucks you've seen on the internet. Carbon fiber hoods come prefinished and ready to install out of the box, although they may require some adjustment to sit correctly. Q: Do carbon fiber hoods require any prep work like fiberglass hoods? A: No. In addition, lift-off “race weight” fiberglass hoods require hood pins on all four corners, as they do not have provisions for latches or hinges. Q: Are hood pins required for a fiberglass or carbon fiber hood? A: We strongly advise using hood pins on all fiberglass and carbon fiber hoods, as they provide an additional level of safety should the main latch fail or if a strong gust of wind should peel the hood skin away from its skeleton. To know what "grade" a carbon hood is made of, look for details in the product description or manufacturer description. Some companies make their hoods out of fiberglass, and paint it to look like carbon fiber, but call them carbon fiber hoods (but of course, they are just a carbon look, not actual carbon fiber). Some manufacturers make the hood skin out of carbon, and make the skeleton out of fiberglass. This is rare since carbon is an expensive material. Some companies make the entire hood (skin and skeleton) out of carbon. Q: Are there different "grades" or qualities of carbon fiber hoods? A: Yes. Nevertheless, hood pins are recommended for use with all carbon fiber hoods. Little to no modification is needed to get these to fit properly, and they often come with OEM metal latches for an easy installation. Q: How do you install a carbon fiber hood? A: Carbon fiber hoods are usually OEM fit and finish which means un-bolting your factory hood and replacing it with the new lightweight carbon hood. Vented carbon hoods are a great option because they relieve your engine of trapped heat, are lighter weight than factory hoods, and give your car a race car appearance. Additionally, carbon fiber hoods are almost always lighter than factory hoods, so they can help you improve performance. Carbon fiber hoods come with a clear gelcoat that allows you to see the clean weave of the carbon fiber and that makes it so you don't have to paint your hood. Q: Why buy a carbon fiber hood? A: Carbon fiber hoods give cars a fantastic custom race look that is very popular. That being said, we have never heard of any problems running a vented hood as-is, and we've done it ourselves for many years without any issues to speak of. Some customers do get creative and add their own diverters under the hood for a custom solution to the perceived problem, but you would have to figure out how to attach them and whether there's room under the hood in the first place. Should I be concerned about that? Will it be harmful to my vehicle if rain goes through those vents into my engine bay? Is there a way to protect against that from happening? A: Adding guards could potentially defeat the purpose of a vented hood, which is to help cool your engine bay. We always suggest buying hood pins when purchasing any light-weight hood for peace of mind you don't want any chance of your hood flying into your windshield while you're cruising along on the highway! Q: The hood I'm considering buying from Andy's is vented and has openings in it that appear to expose it to rain. If the carbon fiber hood does not come with a latch, hood pins are mandatory to be able to close your hood. (For anyone who really wants to paint a carbon hood, it is indeed possible since the clear coat finish responds well to primer.) Q: Do you have to buy hood pins if you buy a carbon fiber hood? A: Hood pins are not necessary when buying a carbon fiber hood if it comes with an OEM metal latch, but we do recommend them as a safety precaution. Because carbon hoods are made to be installed without painting, they are often a more affordable option than fiberglass or steel hoods after you account for the paint cost. The hood has a clear-coat finish and can literally be installed on your car out of the box. In fact, for a lot of people the whole reason for buying a carbon hood is to get that new-age cutting edge race look. Q: Will I have to paint my carbon fiber hood when I receive it? A: No. The company also offers a free 60-day trial to help businesses evaluate the product. Part of the response I got was the following: "We recommend using passphrases as they are better than adding special characters in short passwords" (we being the LastPass development team). For example, LastPass never uses these characters: ,:" '] whereas other password generators do. I'm posting this because I filed a help desk ticket with LastPass complaining about the lack of certain characters in the random password generator. The goal is to have no personally identifiable information as part of the username. These are useful for usernames, such as the one from NordPass, but also good for passwords where those passwords will need to be shared easily with colleagues (and not shared through a system like LastPass).Ĭurrently I use the LastPass random password generator with only ALL CAPS and the Easy to Read option selected to create random usernames such as RAYBKGCACHGV for any sensitive sites like online banks or credit cards. Passphrase generators are becoming more useful, and it would be nice to have it built in instead of having to go to random word generator sites. I'd like to suggest adding a new option to generate random password - generate random passphrase. remove website at risk passwords list 1.Associate credit cards with accounts so that we know which payment is related to which account 1.Being Able to Search by Password When in the LastPass Vault 2. |
